Applications are invited for appointment of following teaching posts under the rules of University Cadre rules on (Contract / Adhoc) / Tenure Track Statues at King Edward Medical University, Lahore. 

SITUATION VACANT 

• Associate Professor of Ophthalmology (BPS-19)  

Qualification/Experience/Research: 

According. to the Government of Punjab, Department of SHC & ME, Teaching Rules. OR University Cadre.

1. MBBS or equivalent Years University medical qualification as cadre determined by HEC / PM&DC. 

2. M.S I M.D / F.C.P.S / PhD (in a respective subject) I Membership of Royal Colleges (UK) / Diplomat of American Board. 

OR 

Other terminal equivalent qualifications in the speciality recognized/registered by the HEC PM&DC. 

3. Five years teaching experience as Assistant Professor or equivalent in an HEC recognized University or HEC recognized Medical College. 

4. At least 10 research publications (with at least 4 in last five years) be published in a standard medical journal as approved by the HEC 1 PM&DC. 

5. PhD without major Clinical Qualification will not be eligible. 'us TTS 

• MBBS or equivalent medical qualification as determined by HEC / PM&DC with M.S./ M.D I FCPS Membership of Royal Colleges (UK) I Diplomat of American Board or equivalent (as determined by HEC). 

• With either 6-years post relevant terminal degree or minimum of 4-years of post-relevant terminal degree experience with at least 6 years of experience prior to the relevant terminal degree. The experience to be counted is to be of teaching/research in a recognized University or a post-graduate Institution or profession-

al experience in the relevant field in a National or International  Organization. 

• 10 Research publications (with at least 4 publications in the past 5 years) in Internationally Abstracted Journals, recognized for the purpose of appointment on Tenure Track by the Higher Education Commission, are required.

• Community Medicine 01 

• Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery 05 

• Biochemistry 02 

• Anatomy 03 

Qualification/Experience/Research: 

• MBBS or equivalent medical qualification as determined by HEC / PM&DC. 

• One year house job experience. 

• The valid PM&DC registration certificate is mandatory. 

• Credit will be given to those who have experience in the same subject. 

TERMS AND CONDITIONS:  

1. The appointment will be made according to the Govt. of the Punjab / University Rules / Tenure Track Statues Rules. 

2. Final appointments will be subject to the verification of education degree & experience certificates (any expenditure in this regard will be borne by the candidate I employee). 

3. Five years relaxation in upper age limit will be allowed across the board. However, female candidates will be given 8 years relaxation as per government notification No. SORI(S&GAD)9-36/81 dated 21.05.2012. 

4. Applicants are required to submit application/dossiers on the prescribed Proforma available at the University website i.e. www.kemu.edu.pk along with attested copies of documents, degree, certificates, CNIC, domicile and fresh passport size coloured photographs. 

5. Candidate interested in more than one Post shall apply separately. 

6. Candidate interested in TTS / University Cadre / Adhoc / Emergency Posts shall apply separately for teaching posts. 

7. For the Post of Associate Professor, PM&DC recognition certificate of experience (showing the eligibility) must be attached with documents. 

8. Application Proforma should be filled and submit in the university office (Room No. 01), KEMU along with a bank draft/pay order of Rs. 2000 for Associate Professor and Rs. 1500/- for Demonstrators in favour of Vice Chancellor, KEMU, Lahore. 

9. The applicants having a foreign degree must have an HEC equivalence certificate. 

10. MBBS Degree Must be entered in PM&DC. 

11. Government servants should submit their applications through proper channel. 

12. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for interview. 

13. Authority reserves the right to cancel, increase or decrease the number of posts at any level without assigning any reason. 

14. Incomplete application forms will not be entertained. 

15. No TA & DA will be allowed.
