Applications are invited from eligible candidates for following vacant posts at Nishtar Medical University, Multan for appointment on Contract basis I on Adhoc basis. All applicants are directed to apply online through Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) website www.jobs.punjab.gov.pk. 

SITUATION VACANT

• Professor (BS-20) on contract basis for a period of 03 years 

Name of the Speciality:  Urology, Nephrology

Maximum Age Limit: (on closing date): 63 years, In relaxation of upper age limit, is Govt. of the Punjab, SHC & MED, Lahore letter No. SO(AMI)21- 415/2016, dated 22008-2016

Eligibility & Experience:  

1. MBBS or equivalent medical qualifications recognized I registered by the PM&DC 

2. First preference; PMDC level III qualification in a respective subject like / PCPS / M.S / M.D 

OR Other equivalent Level III qualifications in the speciality approved by SRC and recognized / registered by the PM&DC Second preference; if 1 st preference is not available, Level Ill qualifications in general medicine 1 general surgery and for clinical Hematology level III qualification is general / laboratory hematology with three years practical or teaching experience in relevant speciality 

3. At least three years teaching experience as an Associate Professor in the respective subject is essential provided that total experience as Assistant Professor and Associate Professor is not less than eight years. 

4. At least five research publications are required in a relevant subject. Only an original article published in a medical journal approved by the PM&DC shall be acceptable. Dissertation! The thesis shall not be counted. 

• Professor (BS-20) on contract basis for a period of 03 years 

Name of the Speciality: Anatomy Biochemistry Pharmacology Forensic Medicine. 

Maximum Age Limit: 63 years. In relaxation of upper age limit vide Govt. of the Punjab, SHC & MED, Lahore letter No. SO(AMI)21- 415/2016, dated 22-08-2018.

Eligibility & Experience:

1. MBBS or equivalent medical qualifications recognized/registered by the PM&DC 

2. Level III qualifications in the respective subject 

3. At least Three years as Associate Professor in the respective subject OR Nine years teaching experience as an Assistant Professor in the respective subject 

4. At least three research publications as Associate Professor are required in relevant subject. Only an original article published in a medical journal approved by the PM&DC shall be acceptable. Dissertation /Thesis shall not be accepted as research publications. 

• Associate Professor (BS-19) on adhoc basis

Name of the Speciality: Anatomy Physiology Biochemistry Pathology 

Maximum Age Limit: 55 years (Male) & 58 years (Female) 

Eligibility & Experience:

1. MBBS or equivalent medical qualifications fully recognized/registered by the PM&DC 

2. PM&DC recognized level II b or level Ill qualifications in respective basic subjects OR Equivalent PM&DC level II b or level III qualifications in the respective speciality approved for teaching by SRC and recognized / registered by PM&DC. 

3. Five years teaching experience as an Assistant Professor in the relevant subject 

4. At least three research Publications are required as Assistant Professor in relevant subject. Only an original article published in a medical journal approved by PM&DC shall be acceptable. Dissertation / Thesis shall not be counted. 

• Associate Professor (BS-19) on adhoc basis

Name of the Speciality: Medicine Preventive Paediatric Medicine Obst & Gynae 

Maximum Age Limit: 55 years (Male) & 58 years (Female) 

Eligibility & Experience:

1. MBBS or equivalent medical qualifications recognized/registered by the PM&DC 

2. PMDC level III qualification in respective subjects like FCPS./ M.S / M.D OR Other equivalent Level III qualifications in the speciality approved by SRC and recognized/registered by the PM&DC 

3. Five years teaching experience as an Assistant Professor in the relevant subject. 

4. At least three research publications as Assistant Professor in the relevant subject are required. Only an original article published in a medical journal approved by PM&DC shall be acceptable. Dissertation / Thesis shall not be counted. 

• Associate Professor (BS-19) on adhoc basis

Name of the Speciality: Radiotherapy & Oncology 

Maximum Age Limit: 55 years.

Eligibility & Experience:

1. MBBS or equivalent medical Plastic Surgery Gastroenterology (Mate) qualifications recognized/registered by the PM&DC Anaesthesia (ICU + Burn Unit) & 

2. Fat preference; PMDC level Ill qualification in respective subject like I 58 years FCPS / M.S / M.D (Female) OR Other equivalent Level III qualifications in the speciality approved by SRC and recognized / registered by the PM&DC Second preference; if 18 preference is not available, Level III qualifications in general medicine I general surgery and for clinical Hematology level Ill qualification is general / laboratory hematology with three years practical or teaching experience in relevant speciality 

3. Five years teaching experience as an Assistant Professor in the relevant subject. 

4. At least three research publications in the relevant subject are required. Only an original article published in a medical journal approved by PM&DC shall be acceptable. Dissertation / Thesis shall not be counted. 

• Assistant Professor (BS-18) on adhoc basis 

Name of the Speciality: Anatomy Physiology Biochemistry 

Maximum Age Limit: 45 years 

Eligibility & Experience:

1. MBBS or equivalent medical qualifications fully recognized/registered by the PM&DC Pharmacology 

2. PM&DC recognized level II b or level III Pathology Community Medicine Qualifications in respective basic subjects Forensic Medicine OR Pathology (Microbiology) (Modem Bum Unit) Pathology (Histopathology) (Modern Bum Unit) Equivalent PM&DC level II b or level III qualifications in the respective speciality approved for teaching by SRC and recognized! registered by PM&DC 

3. Two years teaching experience as Demonstrator! Lecturer before or after level II b qualification and one year teaching experience as Demonstrator / Lecturer before or after level III qualification. 

4. No publication Is required. 

• Assistant Professor (BS-18) on adhoc basis 

Name of the Speciality: Obst & Gynae Preventive Paediatric Medicine Medicine 

Maximum Age Limit: 45 years 

Eligibility & Experience:

1. MBBS or equivalent medical qualifications recognized! registered by the PM&DC Paediatric Medicine 

2. PM&DC level III qualification in respective subject like FCPS.! M.S /M.D OR Other equivalent Level III qualifications in the speciality approved by SRC and recognized! registered by the PM&DC 3. First preference two years teaching experience before or after level III qualification as Senior Registrar or equivalent in relevant subject. Second preference: one-year teaching experience as Senior Registrar or equivalent in a relevant subject before or after level III 

4. No publication is required.

• Assistant Professor (BS-18) on adhoc basis 

Name of the Speciality: Urology Cardiology Anaesthesia (Anaesthesia)

Maximum Age Limit: 45 years 

Eligibility & Experience:

1. MBBS or equivalent medical qualifications recognized/registered by the PM&DC Department, Modem Bum Unit & HDU) 

2. First preference; PMDC level III qualification in respective subject like / FOPS /14.5 / M.D OR Other equivalent Level III qualifications in the speciality approved by SRC and recognized / registered by the PM&DC Second preference; if 1" preference is not available, Level III qualification in general medicine / general surgery and for clinical Hematology level III qualification in general! laboratory haematology with three years practical or teaching experience In relevant speciality 

3. First preference, two years teaching experience as Senior Registrar or equivalent in relevant subject from recognized institute in relevant speciality before or after level III qualification. Second preference, (if 1" preference is not available) one year teaching experience as Senior Registrar or equivalent before or after level III qualification In the relevant subject or level III qualification in General Medicine / General Surgery and for Clinical Hematology level III qualification in General / Laboratory Hematology with three years practical / teaching experience and one year additional experience as Senior Registrar in sub speciality, 

4. No publication is required 

GENERAL PROVISIONS:-

1. Last date for submission of applications is 14.07.2018. 

2. Two attested passport size photographs should be attached with the application form. 

3. The appointment will be made according to the Rule 22 of Punjab Civil Servants (Appointment & Conditions of service) Rules, 1974. 

4. The appointment is made subject to revocation at any time by the competent authority 

5. PM&DC registration valid on the closing date for receipt of applications will be accepted. However, in case of expiry of PM&DC registration & CNIC depositing receipt of NADRA for new CNIC & PMDC for new registration. 

6. Both Male & Female candidates can apply. 

7. Five years general age relaxation in upper age limit as per Government of the Punjab S&GAD circular letter No. SOR-l(S&GAD) 9-36/81 dated 04.11.2006 is applicable. 

8. Employees already serving should apply through proper channel (their respective department) along with NOC. 

9. Those who have removed/dismissed from Government Service cannot apply. 

10. Ineligible Candidates will not be interviewed 

11. All the candidates should bring their original certificates / documents and research papers at the time of interview. 

12. No TA! DA will be granted for the interview.
