The Centre of Excellence in Mineralogy (CE.M.)was established in 1974 in the University of Balochistan, through a gazette notification of the Federal Government, under the Act of Parliament 1974/76, to engage in higher level teaching and research. The Centre seeks the services of strong and dynamic candidates, fulfilling the requirements against the vacant posts, which are mentioned below:-

• Network Administrator/IT Professional (BPS-17) 

Job description: Install/Troubleshoot/Configure/update/Maintain Desktop s/Workstation s/Servers/ Laptops, LAN/WAN, wireless LAN and other network infrastructure for office users. Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Good knowledge and command of latest Windows operating systems, operating systems including Windows 10, Windows Server 2008/2012/2016, Time Management, Organizational Skills, Communication Skills, Hardware & Softwares knowledge, Networking knowledge, including LAN/WAN troubleshooting, Technical knowledge, MS Office, Handling pressure, Creativity. Experience - At least 02 years in the relevant field. Education - MCS, BS (CS), BS (IT) or equivalent from HEC recognized University / Institute. Additional Professional courses/certifications would be preferred. 

• Assistant Technician (Elec/Mech/or any field) (BPS-07)

Certificate from recognized polytech institute.

• Rock Cutter (BPS-05)

Matric  (Science)

• Naib Qasid

 Literate 

Terms & Conditions:

a. Local candidates/holders of Balochistan domicile are eligible to apply.

c. All candidates are required to attach curriculum vitae, 4 recent photographs, attested copies of all the educational degrees and other testimonials along with the applications. 

d. Experience certificates, as per CV must be attached with the application form. 

e. Applicants already in service should apply through proper channel, along with NOC, issued by their parent departments, by the due date; otherwise, their applications will not be entertained.  

f. Incomplete application (s) or received after the due date or not fulfilling the minimum criteria would not be entertained in any case. 

g. Test/interview will be held in the Centre of Excellence in Mineralogy, University of Balochistan, Quetta and No T.A/DA is admissible. 

h. Canvassing in any form or manner will disqualify the candidate. 

i. The competent authority reserves the right of cancelling any or all of the above positions, without assigning any reasons thereof. 

j. The application processing fee for the Grade 17 is Rs. 2,000/= and Grade 05 and 07 is Rs. 1,0007= which can be deposited in HBL, University of Balochistan, Quetta Branch and for this Challan can be obtained from the office of Administrative Officer, Centre of Excellence in Mineralogy, UoB, Quetta or can be deposited in the shape of Bank Draft in the name of the Director, Centre of Excellence in Mineralogy. Candidates applying for scale 1 and 2 are exempted from fee. 

k. The applications may be delivered, during the office hours, personally or by post to the office of Administrative Officer, Centre of Excellence in Mineralogy, UOB, Quetta, till 31 July 2018.
